At HOME, we're not just building a community, we're building a movement.
By providing affordable and accessible resources, personalized guidance and mentorship, innovative technology, and a space for community building and conversation, we're empowering music creators to take control of their careers and succeed on their own terms. We're proud of the impact we've made in the past five years, and we're excited to continue building this movement for years to come
To commemorate this special occasion, we're looking back on five significant milestones that have allowed us to create a true movement for music creators:
#1 - The Prototype for a New Kind of Music Space
We built a 24/7 membership facility that combines writing, recording, rehearsal studios, a music venue, and coworking spaces all together with an affordable membership cost.
This represents an evolutionary leap forward for music creators. The HOME facility is a ‘prototype’ that has now been used by thousands of creators to further their careers and build valuable connections with other people in their industry. Indie and major label artists from all genres have used HOME to write songs, record music and produce content at HOME.
This innovative space is designed to foster collaboration and creativity, and we're proud of the positive impact it's had on the music community.
#2 - The Educational Forum
We’ve pulled together over a hundred music production and business educators to teach hundreds of workshops, panels, presentations, and mentoring sessions, empowering and impacting thousands of aspiring professionals.
Knowledge is power, and the music industry is changing so fast. That's why we call it 'Helping Our Music Evolve'. HOME gives you access to up-to-date information about the music industry from high-level professionals and creators who are using different techniques and styles that you can learn from.
Our educational programs cover a wide range of topics, from songwriting and music production to marketing and branding. The HOME Team is committed to helping our community of creators grow and succeed.
#3 - The Hive Mind
We built a well-organized networking and educational platform that enables people to access the value that HOME provides regardless of their geographic location.
The technology makes it possible for members to leverage a collective ‘hive mind’ where they can share ideas, connect with each other, support each other, and find the resources they need to succeed. Our goal is to grow the online community into a vibrant and active hub of activity, with members from all over the world. We offer online workshops and webinars, as well as a variety of resources and tools to help members grow their careers.
The HOME for Music community is a place where you can find inspiration, support, and valuable connections.
#4 - Shark Tank for Songs
From a planning session with several HOME Members in a special events committee, ‘Songtank’ was born.
Like Shark Tank for songs, Songtank is a live broadcast music pitch contest that was produced by the HOME Community. We did three episodes of Songtank in 2022, and it was a huge hit with local artists and industry professionals. We are thankful for participation from high-level industry executives who were our 'Decision Makers'.
We plan to bring Songtank back bigger and better by finding sponsors and partners for the project through the Helping Music Foundation. We gave out grants and scholarships last year worth over $15,000 for Songtank winners and through the Gift of Music Fundraiser, and we plan to give much more in years to come!
We're passionate about supporting emerging artists, and Songtank has been one of our most fun and creative ways of doing that.
#5 - Giving Power to the People
We’ve built an amazing team and community!
We’ve pulled together people who care about each other, take care of the collective resources we have, and are always trying to help other Homies out. The friendships, laughter, and the music we all share together are what make HOME so special. We're grateful for our community, and we're committed to making HOME a place where creators can thrive.
The people are absolutely the most important thing!
As a nonprofit, HOME gives access to unprecedented resources and power to the people who participate. The HOME Team is so supportive and tirelessly works behind the scenes to make sure we are always improving the community, technology, facilities, and programs.
As we celebrate our 5-year anniversary, we want to express our gratitude to everyone who has been a part of our journey. We couldn't have done it without you.
